Art & Design Classrooms – Layout

Art & Design classrooms and Textile Design workspaces need to be multi-functional as it will host a wide range of art and design educational activities.

Large work surfaces give students the opportunity to undertake some “big” creative thinking.

Good classroom flow is essential to enable students to participate in group work as well as individual pieces of art & design.

Our furniture and storage designs take into account the use of the full range of materials for student creativity from pencil & paints through to fabric used in fashion design.

We can design and fit out art and design classrooms with equipment to cover a full range of activities:

  • Research & Evaluation – Clean spaces with large tables and networked computers for design, research  and report writing
  • Creative Work – Large work surfaces for painting  or suitable areas for textiles and sewing machines, screen printers equipment, 3D Printers
  • Presentation – Interactive whiteboards, projectors, video & audio equipment for remote learning

Safe and secure storage of equipment is always factored into our classroom designs to ensure equipment can only be used by students when needed or removed by authorised staff.
